Went to the local junkyard and found a ram air hood on an LX. They only charged 35 bucks. It does have a few cracks though. Some idiot pushed it all the way back to the windshield. I don't know what brand, looks like a Cervini. I heard the Cervini's were marked. Where is this mark? It has a mesh screen on the back vents but no screen on the hood openings. Is there a way to plug the opening that doesn't look tacky? Or set up a drain to keep the rain off the engine?
Never did get the windshield I went there for.

On the Cervinis mach1 hood it says cervinis under the hood where it is raised or the equivalent to where the bird logo is at on our stock hoods.

I wonder if the early Cervinis hoods do not have finished undersides? I think mine was made be Cervinis (several years old), but the underneath does not have the Cervinis label and is rough. It does have the metal grills on each scoop as well.

Does yours still use the factory hood struts?

Hmm I was thinking maybe it was a single layer hood but I guess not. My cervinis hood is completely finished on the underside.

my cevini hood is probably 8-9 years old and is not finished underside except about 10 inches around perimeter of hood, there is no markings or provision for struts. they sent me a prop rod with it. I bought it right from cervini. hope that helps. Kevin

This one must be old. No provisions for the struts. No Cervini markings. Unfinished underside. Not complaining though.
Didn't even think to look for a prop rod.
