Is there a way to make a light/led turn on or off indicating spout presence? My car "knocks on heavens door" once in a while, and I cant always hear it because i'm rockin' out.

SPOut = Spark Output

You will always have SPOut (Spark Output control signal) if the engine is running. The ECM will dynamically manage the spark output for timing advance, or it will provide "base timing" if the SPOut plug is removed from the circuit. The ECM will also switch to "base timing" if it can't read signal outputs from the camshaft position sensor.

And you'll get a code if it defaults to base timing (10 deg BTC). :cool:

I think what you're referring to is the Knock sensor. Best thing to do is run good gas 91 octane or better. If you can't do that and are running 89, pull the octane plug to retard the timing. As for 87 octane.. just don't do it. ;)
