I asked before, but only got a couple of responses. While I've got the engine out for a rebuild, I was thinking of polishing all the aluminum, then painting the block and exhaust manifolds black.
SIGH !!! I realized that would be more work that I wanted to do. Now I'm thinking of painting everything gloss red mixed with a little gloss black. Then, painting the recessed parts in between "3.8" and "SUPERCHARGED" black and then polishing the raised edges, letters and lines on the blower and the IC tubes. And polish the tensioners, and paint the pulleys a fresh black. Maybe the A/C compressor and the alternator black too, I don't know. I think this would look great with my pearl white Bird.
What do you guys think about that combo? And how about some more ideas, and some more pics of your engines?
Come on!!! Show your baby off to us, LOL.
Thanks,
Alan

Ask and ye shall recieve. Pic of the exterior are in the first post. Go about halfway down the first page and there is my engine- Black/Red scheme w/ painted letterin on IC tube except the raised top.
The stock one was painted but when I bought the raised top, I just threw it on. I'll get to it someday. I hope ya like it.

I wanted to do the blower, but that will come later. Someone on here also has this done, that's where I got the idea for the Black/Polished Tube.

How 'bout some more pics of nice engines? Everybody shows off thier exterior. Not enough people show off their engine. This post is a pretty popular one with 306 views in 4.5 days. Lots of people will see it, so show it off. Give me some more inspiration. I think I've decided, but I want to be sure I've picked the right combo. Whenever I'm done, I'll post some pics. Thanks guys.

Nothing too fancy, but I had it apart for head gaskets anyway....

Since this picture was taken I've added polished underdrives, red dog collar (don't ask), new K&N filter with chrome end plate and most recently a bright yellow battery (warrant replacment Autozone) that really looks like crap.
