Anyone run a 5.0 Mustang Throttle Body (fast Ed)

I'm asking because the TPS sensor (I believe that's what it is called) screws into the throttle body in a different location. The bolt holes on the Mustang unit for the TPS sensor are vertical versus horizontal on the SC unit. The TPS sensor is rotated 90 degrees, so that, the plug goes on the top instead of on the side. Does that matter?

Duane, when we installed the Prof. Products 75 mm 94-95 Mustang style t.b. on my car, I don't remember the t.p. sensor connector being any different than the original one. I do remember it having an adjustable spacer plate that the t.p. sensor attached to. The plate went on to the body with screws at 90 degrees to the t.p. attachment screws. Maybe that's what you're looking at??

Nope, it's the TPS sensor. Here's the deal. Professional Products sent me a Thunderbird TB but it has the Mustang linkage on it. So, I took the linkage out of my Edlebrock 70MM TB and switched it over to the 75MM one, unfortunately, the shaft is not as long because the 75MM has that adjustment spacer for the TPS sensor. I removed the TPS adjustment spacer and just bolted the TPS sensor to the 75MM TB but, that puts the TPS sensor vertical and not horizontal like on a Thunderbird TB. I'm just not sure if that matters or not. The TPS sensor is now rotated vertical instead of being horizontal. Follow me?

Also, Ed, do you know what size nut goes on the brace that your air dam cover bolts too? The air dam cover is right underneath the radiator and is a black material.

Not sure if it makes any difference which way the sensor is bolted on. As long as it is registering the throttle angle movement the same way, it shouldn't affect it, as far as I know. But I'm not an EEC-IV specialist!! ;)

I didn't realize that Prof. Products was making a specific T-Bird application t.b. now ... that's good news, if it actually fits and works.

As for the hardware size you're asking about, no help for you there. I'm looking at the front bumper illustration in the Ford parts catalogue, and it's not showing the hardware for attacjing that lower panel.

Ed,

Yes, they are making a specific Throttle Body for the Thunderbird. Once they get the "ball and socket" linkage squared away, it's a 100% bolt on. It seems their supplier made an error in the linkage and they are correcting the error.

Thanks again.
