Well I'v got to say it's getting very interesting around here lately with all this talk about nitrous, AR's, and 11sec SC's. I think we should start planing a meet at the track for sometime in the fall or winter.

Yes indeed, I am going to start ripping the SC down for the summer and then come fall/early winter...here I come. I can't wait to see who will be the first to break into the 11's in Florida! I got a bet on whom it will be, one of the black and silver cars :)

On a more serious note, it seems like lately there is alot of friction here between a couple of people in this chapter. We are all here for one common reason, the almighty SC. Not the he said/she said bull ***** crowd. There is nothing I cannot stand more that that crap.
There are some people here whom care about helping others, without a hitch and no strings attached. I know I am one of them. I will help anyone out anytime without expecting a thing in return and I know others too whom feel that way. That is what a club is about.
I was the event coordinator for the South Florida F-Body club for 3 years, I have seen this crap start and kill a club, fast. When you have 300+ members and a war starts it is almost impossible to end without loosing alot of members. I am not going to mention any names here but you people know whom you are and need to stop acting like a 2 year old and get over it! I am about to go on a rant here and am going to stop. Not everybody understands everything, nor is anybody perfect in this world and maybe if certain people started thinking this way and accept people for whom they are we would all be better off.

Just my $.02 cents worth, after all we do live in THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA and I can say what I feel and how I see it: right, wrong or indifferent. Hopefully I have not offended anyone here, it was not my intention, just to make a chosen few open their eyes.

I care for everyone here like a brother and would do anything for anyone of you guys in time of need.

Theres not to much beef, There are small beefs, splintered little clicks, here and there! Generally This is a great group of people trying to get together.
there are some rivalries and that's good to a point, Competition can be friendly competition. We should all have a house warming once every month or two, Play Horse Shoes, BBQ, Help a Member fix a head Gasket, Let the generosity flow, Not in words but also deeds. I'm sorry If I hurt anyones feelings ever! I prefer to give than to take. I would help anyone who came to me and said Victor I need to ask you a favor, I would say yes! If Its within my reach. If not I will get a ladder to be able to find a way to reach high enough to do it for that person or friend. Anything within my power, So help me! I would do it for anyone in our Chapter or out of our chapter.... Some know me and are embarressed to be associated with me Why? They come and help me sometimes. But I get the feeling they do not want others to khow they are friends of mine? I can think of one right off, Is that person really my friend ? Or is it other things he is looking for...I'm going to wait and see how long it takes that person to admit he is a friend or a phony. I hope he is a friend, I have done alot for that person, and do not regret it one bit. He just maybe watching this tonight...If so you know who you are!
Life is awful short to waste it on sour notes! or greed!

I just don't have time right now to go back and read through posts hoping to find out what started this.

Okay, I'll get all out in the open. I've been really steamed at all you guys since you didn't move up to Tennesse with me. Now I have nobody. Then after I'm gone all you guys start racing all the time and crap.
I'm willing to forgive and forget, so as far as I'm concerned it's all in the past.

Seriously, I have also completely missed the problems that have been alluded to. The only thing that I can remotely think of is us ragging on TJ but as far as I can tell he just takes it in good fun like it's meant and dishes it back out.

We have little clicks? I think the clicks that are around, if any, are mainly due to locality, like mini-clubs. Then you've got the show guys, race guys, etc.

Competition among the group is awesome if you ask me. If a bunch of us could have some sub 13 second cars...we could collectively take on the world with the FL label. We've got the talent, the know how, it's just the resources and finances that we need help with. Jake and Nick, including yourself all have track experience (drag ), and I'm coming along right behind you guys with a young mind and a heavy foot. I just don't have the accomodations to use it. Flip and Son are toying around with track cars, and I may dabble into some Rally Racing. We're probably the closest knit chapter, and our boards are always going nuts, especially with friendly cheap shots, namely at my expense. It's all great if you ask me...

What we need to do is start planning to go to the FL Ford Events, the V6 shootouts, and the SC shootouts...with a few cars from FL to really turn some heads. You all know I'll be there, even if the car isn't running like Jake's or Nick's or Victor's project(s), but if it goes 14's, at least I'm there. If we can collaborate and team up...there's really nothing to stop FL from getting on the map.

There's a wealth of knowledge out there...I know I've got a ton of advice since my car went down that I have used and will continue to use until I've got the SC I strive for.

It's all right, Kurt. I'd go to Tenn, but what the hell is there anyway? Elvis' house?

Rag on me all you want...as soon as I can...I'll just be shutting people down on the racetrack...and smiling the whole time with my smoked out helmet and my long hair flowing out of the rear.

Glenn say's I'll never have an SC as good looking as his....but he'll never know because:

A) My car rarely stood still while it was running...
B) When something blows by you at 100+ MPH...you better have some amazing vision...or you won't see what it is...and does it really matter?

Hi TG and everyone else.
What you have written here shows a lot of maturity! I know I've thown a couple of curve balls at you, I'm sorry. I guess I have been down on you somewhat because we seemed to have lost our communications we had for a long time. I was tired of your whining about your car being down. I really tried to help you but the times you wanted to come and visit, I was up to my ears in work and short handed. I then got a curve ball from you when you started listenening to others. I felt you did not appreciate all the I was ready to do for you. I had an engine for you and still do with 89,000 miles but, no....you were going to get one with many more miles from Glenn or Brian which I felt, I had offered you a much sweeter deal like almost free. I was the one that was ready to help you out in anyway I could. Then I started setting up a tuning with Dave for the whole club for everyone! I placed it on Jakes post! When he was acquiring his AR I was ready to talk to everyone about setting up a tuning...a tuning for everyone ...Then David forgot about our conversations and got a hold of Jake! Even after our communications, Daves and mine, I had it set it up. Greg was at my home when I was offered the Dyno.It was awhile before Jake and Dave decided to do this but I was left out of the loop. Then Jake came to me to see if I could help. I did get it set up and started following Jakes post about the tuning I wanted Jake to take the lead. Then I got the Dyno for 1/2 the price. I then made a mistake(joke) when I said $25.00 dollars for observers and you took it wrong. It was a joke...except I made the mistake of putting it in bold. Then I felt the snipes, rocks, and the sly coments hitting all around me! Then I called Dan Ron. Oh my God, and did not use Dans wife's by her name so then Brian took his shots. I was getting slammed by everyone practically had a field day with me, Dan did as well and you loved watching me get blasted. I know that Brian and Glenn do not exatly care for me. Too Bad... I like them o.k. I like Dan and have for a long time. Then I felt he was down on me as well. I was under quite a bit of pressure due to a medical problems and even Greg was neutral. I was pretty down in the dumps by then. I decided to ride out the storm and hail! I was not going to let it stop me from helping the club! I try to help all the members out, even if I do not care for some as much as others but I treat everyone with as much respect as I can. I also know when I'm wrong and know how to apologize publicly! I have to swallow my pride when I would rather do what is natural and that's throw it back. I'm older and more disaplinned than that. I thanked the Admin a couple of times when they have showed me I was wrong and stopped me from saying anymore on one or two occasions. Then after I cooled off, they saw I wrote things with a different tune. I thank them for that. (Thanks Guy's! the admin, coordinators !!!) many times... I went out of my way to assist even the ones that I feel were either uptight naturally, or just dislike me for what ever reason? I will take them off my list...! I will not treat anyone with misrespect either! I apologize if I have hurt you at anytime TJ. I really think you have come around in the last 3 or 4 months. I'm proud to be part of this chapter! Then the other day I left the long list of the Coy Engine parts for TJ, I was excited and I wrote a riddle fairly easy describing what I was given at a very low price. If I have done anything to Brian or anyone, I'm sorry!!! I try to help a lot of people all the time before the Ocala Ford show and tried hard to assist a few but it seems it was not understood how hard I tried to help with some parts at my cost. I worked a few days trying to get them what they wanted at their price! Practically free. I ended up having to eat all the things I got for some. Brian, I got you a set of APR bolts and a fepro gasket Then you ended blowing your tranny driving to Ocala. Glenn I bought two shifters OEM at $75.00 each I tried to find you for 3 days! But to no avail... Then I decided that I was not going to spend $100.00 on another shifter and then possibly you say that I may be crazy? Flip saw my post about the OEM shifters I asked him and Brian for your phone number, I left you both PMs I thought it was rare Flip would not have your numbers and neither did your brother!!! I could feel Brians animosity in his PMs. Flip bought one for himself and the last one was $100.00 he bought one for himself $75.00 + shipping. I bought two shifters for $150.00. Got to the show late because I was trying to buy your shifter, but things were already sour. I told you at OSW that I would find you one for free but, I did not have it in the condition I know you like things... perfect! So I decided to just pass on the whole thing. Maybe Its my fault for having offered you something for nothing! and not briginng you anything. I apologize Glenn. Brian I'm not mad with you but treat me with respect and I will do the same to you. I hope this does not give you a headache and no its not a riddle. I have gotten most everything off my chest. I consider everyone here equal, I feel I'm equal as well. I'm looking forward to seeing you all at Dan's BBQ. I do not have any problems with anyone in this club. Theres more! Its just part of certain human traits we all have. I'm proud to be a Member first and a vendor second. Thanks for your time. If you care to sound off at me go for it. I'm mature enough to listen to your side of the story, I just ask for respect! I have and will continue to help anyone here at anytime you need it.
In any fashion not just as a vendor. I would rather not sell to some friends because I have to separate business from friendship. I'm a vendor and try to give everyone a fair deal, sometimes too fair. Diane would not give anyone much slack...Maybe I should listen to her more. I enjoy the gift of giving. I apologize to you TG. To you Glenn, and anyone else I may have ever offended. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
All my best to everyone!
Victor....

If anybody wants to make it to the SC/XR7 Shootout in October, you are welcome to an overnight stay at my house to and from the event. I have 2 extra beds and 5 couches, first come, first served. Although I suspect there might be a more direct route to Norman, OK than through St. Louis. I'll even supply drinks of your choice to whoever can beat my best time to Ocala of 12 hours and 15 minutes. I didn't drive that fast, but I only stopped twice the whole trip

As for the V6 Shootout, aren't they planning one to be in Florida this year?

Victor, I love you mang, but honestly...and I say this with ZERO animosity towards you (I have no reason not to like you) ...if you expect EVERYTHING to go smoothly, and always your way in life...I dunno,.... it will make for a very unhappy person.... to be so thin-skinned about every conversation and possible transaction that goes on here is unfortunate. You will never please everyone.
Every one of us could write exactly the same type of post you just did if we wanted to, about every single person in here that has rubbed us the wrong way (TJ!) lol.

When I met Jake at Waterford Lakes a couple years ago I called him Flip! Ok, I knew my mistake shortly after (when I met the real Flip!)...I had never met either guy before and corrected for it. Jake understood. You threw me because I've known you at least a couple years and I couldn't figure out why you were doing it, but did I lose sleep over it? No way, I thought it was kinda funny.

BTW, the thing about my wife's name-never heard that one before. I never knew that happened. She never mentioned it.

The other stuff about parts and who buys what, well, welcome to capitalism. People do things in their best interest, even when they may verbally commit to something originally, or say" sounds good", they may change their mind and do otherwise. We're human.

You have a wonderful acumen for promoting club comraderie, and I commend you for being proactive at that. At the same time, it doesn't guarantee that everyone will always come to you to buy anything. To expect that is wrong IMO. We are friends, but we are autonomous when it comes to our wallets and our needs of time function and $$$.

For instance; I asked you well over a year ago to see if you could find me a console cover, you said you thought you might have one...you never got back to me. Does this mean you'll be mad at me if I buy one from Brad or Greg? Do you see what I'm getting at here? I don't sit and curse you out for dumb things like this, it isn't even on my radar...you just have to MOVE ON, not everything will go as we want. It's seriously NOT a big deal. Stuff happens, move on.

People are human, they will talk about you, talk about me, behind our backs...that's what humans do, even friends. They say one thing and do another etc. Expect it.

You do the best you can (I KNOW you try damn hard) but sometimes you're just...TRYING TOO HARD here.

Maybe if you weren't a vendor, and just another member without your livlihood involved, you would be better able to kick back and relax, trade barbs with the rest of us and not take it so seriously. I would only hope you can chill a bit, because no one is out to get you (that i'm aware of) and I ENJOY seeing you and talking to you. I also worry about you.

I'm just REALLY REALLY afraid of criticizing you about anything else right now, lol.

I do love you Victor, you're a good guy in your heart. So am I. The world is pretty indifferent to the likes of us, and we need to grow a thick skin. You remind me of me alot, but instead of getting bent out of shape about stuff that goes on here, I just stop hitting that "submit" button. I can usually leave it go and get on with my life.

None of this may hit home Victor, but I hope you think about it before you get mad at me(again). Take care of your health, ALL of us are worried about you. It doesn't matter if you're here to sell us stuff, set up dynos etc.... it only matters that you're HERE. :)

I'm sure I could beat your time...just have to know your stop and start points...I'm always up for the challenge. I wanted to enter the AKA Rally next month in the SC, which would have made me not only the first one with an SC in the race, but the first Thunderbird period.

I believe I read on the V6 shootout site that there was going to be a FL race, I'm assuming Bradenton or Gainesville. ( I know Jake would like a home-track advantage) If the car is running well enough to race, I'd want to compete, like I said earlier, if not just to have another running car out there. She won't be slow, comparitively, but nothing to write home about.

( I know Jake would like a home-track advantage) If the car is running well enough to race, I'd want to compete, like I said earlier, if not just to have another running car out there. She won't be slow, comparitively, but nothing to write home about.
I would have to dig up my buddy's old Ocala address and then you would drive to my house. It's either 861 or 961 miles, I can't remember. I figure someone could easily beat my time, it was posted just to try and get some of you guys to go to the Shootout :)

As for my best time from Point A to Point B, on Labor Day weekend (cops everywhere) a few years ago, I drove from St Louis to Lincoln, Nebraska and averaged (yes, averaged) 84.5 mph for the entire trip (including a 20 minute stop for gas and Lunch in Kansas City). That was a fun drive! There's a longer story to the fun, but I think I'm already cluttering up this thread.

Now, for the V6 Shootout, I would try and make the trip to reclaim my Fastest Florida title :), but I will be getting married this year and I doubt I will have the time.

Hi Dan, 1st I'm not mad at you I really appreciate you more than you know.
I understand what you mean, but you may have misuderstood some of what tried to explain. You did undertand and comprehend very much of how I feel and thats a pretty good assessment of things but this was not about the selling of parts nor was it about sales.Or that I cant throw barbs and take them and laugh about things that go on! I like to have fun also. My purpose was to clear the air with a couple of the issues and also to be the first to let my small concerns out, on somethings I felt unconfortable about. My whole point of doing this thread, Is to bring us closer together and enjoy our outings, be sensitive to others feelings at certain times. They say there a time for everything and sometimes somethings can be out of time. I have to say I agree with TG's analogy he was right on! Things can always be improved in relationships and club funtions things to look forward to. I'm not so thin skinned as you may think. I'm just the type to respect certain things and be courteous and do onto other as I would like to be done onto. I'm not a numb person nor dumb! Sometimes little on going short remarks can get old. I want to bring this chapter closer together! Its a good group of guys and together we can achieve a lot. I have thought about doing more in ways that can also be a place to be able to come, aid and help when when we can all be of help to a brother. We are not an Island. People helping people if they need it or want it? I believe there is power in numbers. I thank you Dan for your most couteous reply!!! I do understand very much of what you expressed. Thanks Dan and others for your friendship and I stronly believe that we will all have a great time together. I know we cannot all be best buddies! I also think that we can all work and have fun together. I'm glad you responded in such a nice way. Thanks and I also see much of what you see! Thank you! I Love you too Mang!
Y'all Take Care NOw Ya hear.... ;)

That's nothin Dan, when I was at Glenn's house I called Flip Glenn, boy I felt like an arse! And I've met both of them more than a couple times. Maybe it was the 4 hour drive or maybe I just like to make excuses for my mistakes :p . Anyway I think this is a great place where I can come to talk about cars and whatever else is on my mind and you guys listen, thanks. I also think we have the best chapter on the board, it wasn't long ago I would come in here and NOTHING was going on and I mean nothing at all. Now we are one of the most active chapters around and hope it stays that way!
