It's clamped in front of my radiator ...... looks kinda like a spark plug ..... what does it do?? Thanks for your help!

Ambient temperature sensor for the electronic temperature controls (A/C and heating).

i thought i was the only one with it. I though some sensors were left over from the engine when somebody rebuild it and they just decided to bolt them up anywere...
