alright i finally sucked it up and looked at the car, and talked to the person who knows not, a guy knows a guy knows a guy that heard something, thing.
he bought it from a dealer in Cedar Rapids and theres another one there and he says that the engine is a 4.6L Police Intercepter motor it has an intercooler on a switch inside that he can flip, the guy that had the car before him goes to illinois and buy's these cars and puts these big motors in them and sells them again. but im having trouble seeing that it is a 4.6L because if you look under the hood it looks like a norma 3.4L engine with the tubes criss crossing and the SHO cover can those be mated to fit any application? i've never heard a 3.4L run so idk what it sounds like but when he rev's this one up it sounds like a mustang GT he says it surpasses 155 easily idk if the 3.4L do that or not i guess i havn't ever riddin in a SHO.

lemme know what you guys think.

i think this guy is full of it....an intercooler for what?? is it turbo or supercharged. a

a switch for what?

the 3.4L is a uniqe motor and i seriously doubt the intakes would swap from one to another

i also dont see why a 3.4 couldnt sound somewhat like a 4.6

the top speed is governed at about 137-140 mph

My wifes 1996 SHO has gutted cats and it sounds pretty mean. You can definately tell that it has a V-8 under the hood. Also how would you convert a 4.6 to run front wheel drive? I don't see that as a possibility. The 1996-1999 SHO's govern at 137.
