the way i wired my fog lights to run independent of the headlights was as follows......
First i found which fuse ran the foglights
Then I found which wire was powering it. On my 93 it is a red and black wire.
I cut this wire where it goes into the fuse box under the dash and extended it from the fuse box to a power source that only has power when the key is on.
in short it only took one cut and six inches of 14 gauge wire......and now i have control when my foglights are on and i can't leave them on cause when the key comes out the light go off
I just cut the power wire to the switch under the console and crimped on a connector and new wire. I ran it to the battery. When I redo it I'll get an updated harness with larger gauge wire, and a 30 amp relay. Then you can add higher wattage aftermarket fog lights and not worry about melting the wires.
