running w/o coolant

is this a bad idea, the car runs no hottor, or maybe even cooler than with coolant.
i have no problem adding coolant but am just wondering if my car doesn't run hot, can i keep just water in it....alos noticed it cools down very qiuick too.

water has better heat transfering propertyes than antifreeze , but it tends to rust out parts , has a lower boiling point and expands when it goes below zero. soa 60% water 40% antifrezee is a bit better.
 
Being down here in south Texas, we dont have to really worry about freezes :D. You could run a 25/75 coolant to water ratio with no problems. Add some purple ice or water wetter to further enhace it.
