Gauges peg themselves??

My buddy just bought an SC and it seems to be really rough running. His car will jerk and buck while under normal driving, or hard acceleration. Thought its intermittent. And at one point in time, all of his gauges on his dash pegged at the same time (all the way to the right). What would cause them to do this? Huge electrical problem? I believe the DIS module was replaced at sometime as thats what he was told. Dunno if that has any control over that aspect of the car. But need some ideas. Thanks.

Check all the grounds..........

The ground cable at the battery has a seperate ground to the front radiator support. It is bolted from the Neg cable to the rad support. This ground and the other chasis grounds (IE: behind motor and by the passenger frame rail), help maintain good current flow. If the grounds are not attached correctly, the PCM and other electrical items will act strangely.

I suggest checking these items and getting back to us.
