is this normal: my 90 SC temp gauge goes to "R" sometimes when driving around town, sometimes it only goes to "O" and the fan kicks in and temp gauge needle drops to "N" or below...with A/C on temp gauge stays near "N" or below. how can I check if the low speed fan is working right?
thanks!

yup

yea that temp is pretty normal, my 95will go up to slighty pass the "M" before the fan kicks on. with the AC on the fan is always on as speeds of like under 45 which is why u run on the N at that time. if driving around town, and u dont want to use AC and ur temp gauge gets to where dont like it, just put on the AC for 2 seconds and turn it off and you will get a fan cycle. Or do what i do and unplug the AC compressor then put on the AC and the fan will just always be on. damn texas heat though i need my AC plugged in usually. i guess if u really want ot be accurate, youd have to install an aftermarket temp gauge, i hear it's easy, but im not messing with mine, im sure it's fine.
