Clevite bearings or Sealed Power bearings? Help please!!!

OK, I've seen on here that Sealed Power bearings are the best, but I got Clevite. The problem is that Clevite bearings for the SC don't really fit right. The instructions in the box say to renotch the main caps in positions 2, 3, and 4 for the bearings to fit. Well, that's pretty messed up.

My question is, are the Sealed Power bearings the same way? Would I still have to "renotch" the main caps with Sealed Power main bearings? Take care.

Hmm, don't have my bearings yet, but I've heard Sealed Power are best from the standpoint of oiling. Never heard of any issue with install of clevite.

Keep in mind the #4 journal is smaller than all the others on the sc block.

some other info I have saved:

One thing to note about the later 94-95 blocks. The alignment "Notch" if you will is in a totally different spot than the early blocks on I think the #2 main journal. All you have to do is file the "TANG" off the bearing in that location and align it up correctly. Many people think the tang is what keeps the bearing from rotating. Its just an alignment device if you will.
