View Full Version : Another Slave Cylinder question:

I'm pretty certain the problem with my truck is the slave cylinder. However, after speaking to a few people, they informed me that there could be air in the system.

The clutch works fine I guess, sometimes. There's full resistance and the clutch works like it should. Sometimes I have to push it to the floorboard in order to get it to disengage, and as soon as I let off just a tiny bit, it engages.

It's an on and off thing, but it seems to be getting worse. Could it be some air in the system? Or is it the whole system? Or just a new clutch?

Stealway Ford quoted me close to a grand to fix with a new clutch, because the damn transmission has to be dropped. Is there a way I could fix this myself, without screwing it up more than it already is?

Please help.

sure it could be either one. You never told me if you have torsion bar suspension.

What's Torsion Bar Suspension? I don't think I have that though.
