ok well it looks like im finally going to be getting my car painted white now, instead of getting the 95 5 speed, just to much work to get the car. So i decieded to just paint mine and go forward with it.

So what kinda hood pins to the rest of the guys using cobra r hoos use?

im really liking the look of the lock style, they dont hang out with any wire or pins.
So i wanna hear some opionins, let me know what you guys think.

I kinda think the cables make the hoodpins look just right.

the E-Bay ones are both the same, I think Mr-Gasket sells them also, without the carbon fiber sticker thingy like the bottom one, they are chromed cast iron, they will corrode if you live in heavily salted areas, they work well and they're cheap

I was thinking the same thing. The ones they used on the mustangs were cool.
I think they would look good on white too, with the Cobra R hood.
I've got a set of chrome moroso one that I got at summit for like 20 bux. Summit also makes their one, too. Wax the snot out em before you install them. Use a q-tip to get some wax inside the pin hole. they like to start rusting there. also wax your cotter pins. If you keep up with it you'll get alot longer out of them. My bird sat for a year an they rusted. but I got two good years out of them before that.

Sorry for the thread resusitation...but i just got me a hood too :p . I also like these but from the website I get the impression that the $70somethin dollars is just for the top part? You still need to get the bottom mechanism that attaches to the core support (it sais so at the bottom of the page). Are there any other alternatives to this twist-off type?
