Heads Up/Bracket

Okay guys, heads up or bracket.......lets see what you prefer (the guys that will actually be racing)

I want plain old heads up. I could care less who I line up with because I'm not going there to race anyone but to bring down my ET. This is the way is been at all out track days in the past.

I know it's fun to run each other I liked running a faster car I find I push it a little more.

All it takes is a quick glance at the sigs in the room to know that most of us with 4.6's will vote for Bracket. But no matter what the room votes, I will be there. (Wishing I had my tune done, and the 3.55's in).

For me, it's not about beating the guy in the lane next to me as much as it is about improving my ET's.

My vote goes for 'heads up'.

You guys know we could do heads up for a couple of hours and then do a Bracket final, heads up would help gauge where you should dial in and work on your ETs plus getting seat time in Brackets is not such a bad idea. I don't care about prizes it's just fun (for me anyways).

On a side note if we run Brackets, Craig is not allowed to RUN especially if he's got cigarettes and the Lion King DVD. LOL. For those of you who don't know, Craig beat just about everybody at the Shootout in just that manner. :D

Bracket for me. I just want to race other people. I know my car isnt going to get quicker than 15.71 for now. and its not fair if Im pair with someone running high 13s first round, because i would loose no matter what... and I wanna WIN.. :)

Not to be picky or anything, but I never saw the point of giving someone a head start and calling that a race...... you should line up, run what you have, if you lose better bring something better next time. Now that's a race.

I'm willing to run the bracket, if we can get enough guys in for it.

FUN is the name of game for me, oh yeah and lower ET's.

Most of us started out running 15's when we first got our car. ...Well, OK, then there was Ryan who started of somewhere in the 16's, but that's a special case. ;) The point is, many of us have been working to lower our ET's both through more mods, and through learning to drive our cars. ...I've just never been much for racing with a handicap.

Tune is one thing, gears is another. Why won't they be ready? You still have some time left. :confused:

Anyways, this thread is for a specific reason, and it seems that you have some rather serious allegations towards the clubs older members. This quote is the only part that I need from your rather lenghty reply, so I will put you down for heads up. :)

The rest should be in a seperate post created by yourself, as it could get quite lenghty........but then again no one responds to you so it might not.



BTW, just out of curiosity.....I checked the last three pages of history and there is not a single post for help by anyone that went unaswered, so I really don't see what you are talking about...... :confused:

Tune is one thing, gears is another. Why won't they be ready?
The gears are in the works. And the tune depends on when I pick the chip up.
Might have the pulleys on next week. Its such a busy time of the year. Have to have the brakes done for the SVTOA weekend for sure.

Let me just say that I have been treated with respect, been given a great deal of advice(most of it good), made to feel part of the group(and I'm an old guy), and generally its been a wonderful experience. Ed does love to pick on my Bird, but damn, he is the BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you have a complaint about the club, so be it. Get on with it. The summer is way too damned short.

Have a chance at what? ...Crossing the finish line first? What's the point if you leave the starting line a full second or two before us? You're going to feel good about having a 15+ second timeslip and beating a SuperCoupe??? How is that any better than lining up against a Z06 and crossing the finish line a couple of seconds later than him/her?

It's just my opinion, but in my books it's more important to work on mods, and technique and try to trim time off each pass I make, regardless of whether I cross the finish line before or after the car in the lane next to me.
