Alright, today was the highschool nationals at st.thomas dragway. I brought out my 90 SC 4 speed auto... I couldnt cut a light all day. I was running anywhere from 15.81 - 16.1. Come first rounds of eliminations I decide to dial a 15.87, seeung as my two previous passes were 15.92 and a 15.88. I pull up to the line against a 67 chevy half ton. its running about 15.2s - 15.4s. He double bulbs, I wait for the tree to activate and see my dial on the board. I roll in and stage, bring it up to 1500 rpm, I launch hard. REDLIGHT! GRRR! OUT FIRST ROUND! I was soo choked. But instead of dogging, I decide to give it. Shift from 1st to second at about 5500, making mad time I could feel it. shift 2nd to 3rd, and the thing just HOOKS UP! (Car hates 2nd - 3rd, OD is pooched!) I keep peddling it know I lost... I RUN A 15.577 on a 15.87 DIAL! ~~~! Before this pass the best the car ran was a 15.718 @ 85.13mph.
