ABS problem need some serious help

I replaced the battery in my car back in April. After I replaced the battery the ABS system worked fine. Then one day I drove the and made a few stopped. When I got home I parked the car on the side of the house. When I went to park the back in the garage the ABS and Brake lights were on, but the brakes felt fine. At first I thought it was just because the car was hot so I let it sit for about 2 hours, when I went back out and stuck the key in the ignition the pump motor started running and the lights eventually went out. Now the problem I am having is on Fathers day there was a local Ford show. When I went to get the out and go the pump motor was running but the lights stayed on and the pedal was as hard as rock. I have had this problem off and on for about three years now. In the process of trying to figure it everything with the ABS stopped working. I replaced the pressure warning switch about a year ago and just replaced the relay to try and fix the problem.

what I did

Based on what you said it could be the accumulator ball (the ball on top) or something electrical. When I got my SC the abs pump motor was jury rigged right to the battery with a switch (real safe). No one new anything about the abs unit at repair shops, and to do anything to it was more money than I paid for the damn car. I read posts here and converted my brakes to regular using a vacuum booster from a N/A tbird v6 (1990) and the master cylinder from a crown vic (including the brass t-divider block). My shop had to make a lengthened brake pushrod to the pedal but thats about it i think. all of 300-400 bucks with labor.

ABS relay, pump relay, ingition switch, or the pump.

if other electrical things arent working (blinkers, lights, ac) then its probably the ignition switch. they are $10-15 and take 10 minutes to replace.

the relays are about the same price and take maybe 5 min to replace. they are connected to this bracket:
