I decided to drive her for the first time in 3 weeks and she is running like dog-poop! NO tach, backfiring, stalling and is a biatch to re-start with up-shift lamp on while cranking. Geesh, I didn't think she minded the 5.0 or the little Porsche that much.

On a serious note, is the camsensor bad or the crank sensor gone south? I have a 3 month old DIS on it. I don't think a DIS could have gone bad in 3 months but nothing suprises me anymore with an SC!

Sounds like the crank sensor to me also, but check wireing the going to it before you get a new one. The one I replaced on the 93 just had a bad wire going up. the sensor itself was in great shape. The no tach kind of sounds like a Cam sensor also, the 89 would just start missing while going down the road and it was the cam sensor. Which is a very easy fix.

WOW......I thought I had the only SC with an inferiority complex? :D

You have to keep em separated......

I will never let my SC know that I am even thinking of looking at another car that could even remotely be in the same class as her...... :D

Well, at least you aare selling the "Porch".....

Ok Flip, you get a gold star! :D
I found a red wire in the harness which goes to crank sensor that somehow had hit the belt and rubbed a hole in the harness! I am going to replace the DIS and cam sensor while I am this deep too! Let ya guys know how she runs in about 2 hrs!
