ABout Lower intake on 94 SC????

Was wondering what anyone has done besides port matching to there lower intake..Was thinking of getting it extrude honed...ANYONE>????:O) thanks

I cut the top off and raised it 1''. I dont have any before and after results but it had to improve flow big time.

I remeber Bill Hull had the actual intake manifold extrude honed and it broke in half! Coy runs a similar mod to Brian's on his car. The top of the manifold is cut out and new piece is welded in making the roof higher. Gives more volume in the manifold and a better shot at the heads. Also, might help distrubution of the air since certain cylinders run a little lean compared to others on the stock manifold.

I think this lowered intake manifold along with the restricted top were two ways Ford got this thing to fit under the MN12 hood.
