Hi guys,
I'm a new member and I've been following this site for quite some time. I recently purchased a 1990 with blown HG. I've rebuilt the engine from the ground up and now I'm working on the interior. A lot of the interior wiring was not working (side mirrors, interior lights, keyless entry) and I found the forum that talked about the splice in the drivers sill. I spliced the light green/yellow wires to a constant 12V black/white and everything works now.
My problem is that my interior lights won't turn off now. I can press the door pins and the lights slightly dim (telling me the doorpins work). I checked the obvious of the headlight switch position, (the headlight switch is from my other car so I know it's good), I've also checked the auto dim switches.
Another symptom that I'm not sure if it is related but the alarm light is flashing on the dash.
I've done a fairly thurough search and havn't found a similar problem.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
On another note, I'd like to thank all of you who take the time to ineract on this site. It has helped a lot with my project to date and it's information that you just can't find anywhere else.
Ken
