After 9 years my wife is ready to release her beloved crimson red T-bird SC w/auto trans. Having been aware of your club for a few years we thought we'd offer it here first. In hope of selling it to someone who will care for it as well as we have (better than some kid in our area is likely to!).

It has a lot of "easy" highway miles on it as we live 30 miles south of KC, MO on a paved rural highway. Since we work in a small town 3.5 miles away (with NO stoplights in between) it hasn't seen much stop and go driving. Current miles are just under 150k but the odometer only reads 126k, as the speedometer quit working a year after we bought it (at 23k miles). There is a sticker placed on the door frame by the local dealership who replaced it.

Except for usual maintenance items this car is mechanically unmodified and garaged when home. It has new brakes and recent tires. When we had it in to the local Ford dealer 2 weeks ago for new brakes they said it could use about $750 worth of suspension work. That has not been done yet as we figured the next owner may want to save $$ by doing the work himself. The engine runs as smooth as ever and the car is mechanically sound in every other way.

There is only one small worn spot on the driver's seat side bolster and driver's floor mat. Rest of interior is excellent. Paint is beautiful except for usual front paint chips (touched up) and a 3 inch wide area between left rear window and back glass where clear coat needs a recoat. The moonroof absolutely doesn't leak but the interior cover is off the track.

We recently checked out a local blue SC advertised for $2000 with about the same miles. It had multiple previous owners, extensive clearcoat and colorcoat failure, well worn interior, smoked a little and bad tires. On a 10 scale it was a 3 and ours is a 7. I figured ours should be worth twice theirs. However after listening on this website the past two weeks I realize it is unreasonable to expect more than $3,000 for this really nice car! So that is what I'm asking. If I can't get it here (pretty soon) I'll advertise it locally and hope it finds a good home! Pics on request via regular mail (I'm an old techno-retard, it took me 4 attempts over 2 weeks to discover how to post this ad, heaven knows how long it would take to figure out how to post a picture!!).

 WOW ...... any idea on what the car ACTUALLY sold for?? People have a weird way of initially listing the car for a LOT more than they can ever get, just to snag some clueless person. After all the future expenses are added up, the price usually drops dramatically! On the EastCoast a #3 out of 10 usually sells for $600 - $700 depending on how bad the owner wants it gone. The good news is that a '95 is VERY desireable. :)

welp...if it's any type of measure my Titanium one wound up going for $3500 up from the advertised price because of a bidding war... :D

I would not sell either two of my SC for less than $5000 period.

Well, the narritive was justifying an ASKING price BASED on comparitive value :
I figured ours should be worth twice theirs. However after listening on this website the past two weeks I realize it is unreasonable to expect more than $3,000 for this really nice car! So that is what I'm asking.
I asked what the $2000 beater actually SOLD for - THAT'S relevant, right??
Sweet90SC added he even had a bidding war ...... but then Unclenick just said he would NOT sell for less than $5000. FINE ..... is he selling it?? Is it relevent?? Does that clear thing up any?
