Hey guys!
I just had to say I got another SC on the way. I bought it on Ebay tonight and will pick it up in a week or two. It is a 1990, white paint with red interior, auto. Kinda buying sight unseen but I understand it is in pretty good shape but needs engine work. I will give it some TLC and have it back on the road soon. It joins its other siblings, a 1990 black with red interior and 5 speed, a 1991 red with black leather interior and auto and the grandpa, a 1966 Q code (428) Town Landau. My next door neibour has offered professional help for me already. He might try to get me commited when he sees the new one in a week! Now......if I can only find that just right 1988 TurboCoupe........

"Hey ColoSC! Soooo ... it was YOU that bought the car, eh? I was watching it for the past week TRYING to decide if I should bid or not. I am not a mechanic, heck I don't even own a wrench, so I have to have EVERYTHING done by a shop, and thought this one might be too expensive. It sure DOES look beautiful ... cornering lights and all!! :) How do you plan to get it back here? It's gonna cost a TON to have shipped, right? Keep us posted on how you fix it up, and what all it needs!! CONGRATS!!" :D

I had been looking at it all week too, but kinda forgot about it till I got on Ebay last night. I saw that it only had one bid but there was only 3 minutes left! I really didnt expect to win, but was surprised when I did. I couldn't resist! I talked to the guy and the car has everything but auto climate control and leather and your right, it does look pretty good.
I am planning on hauling it here with my truck and trailer so there wont be any shipping but the cost of gas. It is only about 6 hours away from here. Not bad. I do all my own work, I have a shop and tools but sometimes lack time! I am planning on working on it this winter so that it will be ready next spring.
I will keep everyone updated as progress continues!

Hey, I just got it home and it looks good! It has 174,000 miles but it looks very good. Everything is there and unmolested. The diiferential housing looks like it did in 1990 without a trace of grease and the paint on the rear subframe looks good. No rust. The DSO is from San Jose Calif, so I guess I have one of those "prized" california cars! lol The interior looks nice except the dash has severial cracks and the bolster on the drivers seat has the normal wear. the seats set really good, better than my other two. The door panels still have the shiny "sheen" in the red material. Everything works but the hvac blower. Seems like every tbird I have bought needs a new blower! The engine does have a knock, but it sounds like the piston is hiting the head. It is heavy sound and not low in the block but up high. It had just recently had head gaskets installed, so maybe it has something to do with that. I was going to wait till winter to start working on it but I think I will start on it next week! The car has:
keyless entry
factory anti theft
driver/passenger power seat
JBL sound system (and it works!)
auto on/dim lamps
sun roof
and all the normal goodies
I will take pics as I get going!
