Transmission fluid question

I just had my tranny rebuild (M5R2) and im using Mercon ATF. Do i need to add any friction modifier and if so what kind?

you shouldnt need any additives mines been doing ok since i put in syncros about 170k miles ago, i try to change the fluid every year cause it gets lots of metal shavings in it

ATF sux in them use gm syncromesh
