Fuel Pressure Test

I'm in process of reassembleing my fuel system and air intake. I replaced all the injector o-rings put them back in the fuel rail with clips them on, put them back in place with the four screws, and bloted down the fuel pressure reguator bracket. I attached a fuel pressure gague to the valve, tuned on the igition switch and jumpted off the Fp terminal at the DLC connector.

  • While the pump was running the gage said 41psi
  • Tuned igition off, Hold pressure after 5 minutes was 31psi
  • No leaks detected.

This appears to be within the specs of the Haynes Repair manual.
Anybody have any comments?

Sounds good to me. Get in running and cehck presure when running. The pressure should go up pound for pound with the boost.

the test sounds good to me but when my fuel pump went bad it would only act up about once a week after it ran for about 30 miles i dont think the test would have shown it was bad because it only did it now and then
