Just purchased a 95 5-speed, pearl white SC form the VP of the club's Connecticut chapter. Seems to run pretty darn good for 104K miles. As I wait on him to send me the proper docs to register it, I am contemplating what I should do preventively to make sure this baby stays with me for a long time. Or at least until I can make it to Norman in October for the Shoot out. With no mechanical experience, I guess my question is:
If I'm willing to initially spend up to $1K to make sure she doesn't die on me, what would you recommend I do? There is an aftermarket exhaust on it and he said the head gaskets have recently been replaced. It does seem to run a bit on the hot side. Anyways, when I look at websites such as supercoupeperformance.com, there are so many different products. Any advice, or should I wait til Norman so one of y'all can give it a lookover?

I would definatelly install a 180 degree Thermostat, double Intercooler and an 8 or 10" intercooler fan to keep this hot temperature down! You can do it for about 500 US. ;)
Get a set of SCI pulleys from Ryan A Harris (go to Group Buy Chapter)! Might to go with gears as well but it all depends on what bolt-on you've got there already. You should've asked him what has been done to the car and what he would suggest you to do!
But that's just my 02, I would do this things first!
