To the best of my knowledge, it was the middle of 94. However, you can tell which refrigerant type you have by looking at the color and type of the line fittings. r12 has large bicyle tire type fittings with a black cap and threads on the outside while r134 has a red and blue cap and clip on fittings. :)
 
I believe you can also look at the radiator core support, and there is a sticker stating what type of refrigerant the vehicle came with as well as the capacity. I also agree with TbirdSCFan I believe 94+ came with R134-A...
