Oil pan gasket

I have only seen it done by lifting up the engine or removing the front crossmember.

You probably know this, but it has no real gasket. Just a bead of silicon.
 
Yeah, I know about the silicon.
I didn't know if there was enough clearance between the firewall and engine to get enough space to remove the pan. By the way, This particular car isn't an SC, it is just a plain 3.8.

can't be done apart from what gldiii, i know this cause i cracked my oil pan and had to replace it and boy did i get a surprise when i found out it was no where as easy as i though, doh!

None hte less i will not crack another oil pan!
