Ok.. Finally got around to taking some pictures, tonight. It was a bit dark, but you can still see what they look like. Going to take some really good ones tommorow at school!! LOL They look WAY better in person... that's a really big door in the air!! Keep in mind, this is not one of those .COM door kits, this kit is custom made for every car he gets in his shop. All arms, brackets, hinges, etc. are Laser Cut, Water Jetted and CNC'd from 1/2 steel. The .COM kits are made all of 3/8 steel, making them VERY flimsy. We still have to tweak the driver side door a little bit, kinda hard to get such a big door lined up properly. He is also using a 850lbs shock to lift up and hold my door up!!! Thats one heavy-duty shock.

Enjoy!

Took some better pictures at school today. The pictures just dont do it justice, its crazy in person. Everywhere I go, everybody stops to ask about it and who did it... I'm giving my friend some good business.

Here is a few pictures of the hinge design, keep in mind, they have a patent. He took ideals from all the kits out there, made his better then all of them. I'm serious when I say that, I've seen the verticaldoors.com kit and it is VERY crappy, VERY flimsy, very poor design, all welds are ARC welded and are onl TACKS!!!!!

Damn dude! All I could afford in school was a 1972 slant six Dodge Dart, and the doors would barely open......or close! :o
Looks pretty cool though.

hehe... A good paying job and help from the bank!!! LOL

They open very easily and close better then factory... they really do. The only thing not done is the shock on the other side. One of the guys in the car club borrowed a shock to try on his door, it so happens it was the other 850 we needed!! LOL... so we have to wait a few more days until we get it. The hinge is on, all we need is the shock to make it go up.

For those who want to see it in person, I will MOST likely be at the track day if all goes as planned around home... really hectic right now around here with the farm crops ready to come off. But I will be at the fund raiser for Stephanie for sure, so I will have the car then for sure. I could make a video, but with dial up... it would take too long to upload. You really have to see in person how easy it is to open and close such a heavy door.

HAHAHAH! Wait 'till you see what he's going to do with the trunk and hood, John. Oh, and the rocket jet-wheels like from the Delorean in Back To The Future. :p

DAYUM! So THAT'S what it looks like. Cool. I like it.

I gotta ask - in your pics it almost looks like you have the frame-mounted rail-type seatbelts, like the U.S. cars. True, or are my eyes in need of more carrots?

Looks like you've got a new nick-name - the Slickster! :D

Farm crops? Oooooh, NOW I know how you can afford all this. ;) :p    :) :o

HEHE...yes, I do have an American SC.

I'm not sure as to what I am going to do with the trunk and hood, seeing I have lambo's, I might go a little crazy with the hood and trunk lid, but I might be thinking rice though!! LOL

I'm serious as to when I say farm crops, soya beans, corn, wheat, thats all... we did find a few "plants" in one of our fields last year... LOL... cops came and took it though.

I am shaving everything from handles to molding etc.. except for the THUNDERBIRD SC on the rear valance. The actuator is possible, but not needed. The doors open so easily and close so easily its retarded. I'll show you guys at the fund raiser for Dean's daughter.

Thanks again for the kind words guys... been putting alot of money into this things this summer, bags are going on in the summer of 06...
