Hello,

Chip Version: 5.1
EEC Computer: X1A2
EEC Tuner Software Version: 2.08

Problem: When attempting to 'Retrieve Modification' I receive this exact
error.
"Exception
Base Modification Checksum Mismatch Error
'"
To check to make sure my connection is OK I can download all.eec and
retrieve modification all.eec with no problem. It is when I attempt to
load any other program; then retrieve it is when I receive the error.
When connecting it to my car it will not start. Any help please?

That does not sound like a correct processor code.

I do know that the 92-93 SC's won't accept the version 5.2 tuner. Could be a problem with that.

I suggest that you change the checksum value to "0" which turns the check engine function off. Then try it again.

Are you modifying a already programmed tuner or are you new to this???

Does the other downloads work???

Try the following:

Go into the processor code you have.

Type"ALL (Hit return) END"

This will clear the tuner and see if you get that back on "retrieve Modifications"

Yes, I can download all.eec without a problem. I am attempting to download a Dave Dalke tune into it again. It used to work just fine until I took it to a place to get it 'tuned'. Now it does not work. He ~~~~ed it up good. I will attempt to do what you explained. :) Thanks
