Finished tearing down the engine this past weekend, and I'd already knew when I got the car that it'd need motorwork. Now it's gonna get the full monte.

I don't know how the previous owner managed  this, but he did a damn fine job.

Block is ok,just needs boreing which it'll get, crank, cam, rods were unhurt also.

Believe it or not,the car was still running, albeit poorly but still running.

Oh well,now for the fun.

This piston is a standard bore hypertech. No shattering on this one.

dude replace the oil pump drive mine went south and cost me a engine .

I had carrillo rods wiseco pistons and when the oil stopped so did the crank bending all the rods cracking all the pistons and putting a hole in the block .

so replace every part from oil pump drive to oil pressure releASE VALVE IN TIMING COVER this just happened to me on start up of new motor timming cover oil pressure leak cause release valve stuck closed.

Hey Ron

Would you mind telling me what cylinder this was? My '94 burned the #3 cylinder and the damage to the pistion looks very similar.

Thanks
