Some 05 shootout pics

Hey guys here are some pics from the shootout. Big thanks to Ed for bringing me down and putting up with my eccentricities. :D I didn't take my car (regretted it when we hooked up with the convoy) but had a lot of fun anyways. I'm sure you guys have heard about the close encounter with Walmart security, OKC's finest and a very upset hotel manager. :D
It was great to finally meet Dave Sabados, who finally got to run somewhere other than the high altitude tracks in Alberta.

Great shots Andrew. Thanks for riding down with me, and splitting the costs.

Guys, you missed a fantastic event. You really should make an effort to try attend the 06 event. I have it from a good source that next year it will be "closer for the Ontario guys".

BTW, I ended up 4th in Street Stock, behind Connie Baker, Charles Brown, and Dave Sabados (from Alberta), out of a field of about 12 cars. Didn't get my 13 second pass yet, but did manage a bunch of stellar reaction times. :D

cheers

My quick-change pulley hub didn't like the size of your blower snout, and started to walk back toward the case, resulting in a hellish noise. So we swapped on a stock steel pulley that I had in the trunk, I think it was an early style. That's what's happening in pic #3 in the first bunch of photos, taken at a Wendy's parking lot in Columbus, Ohio. It's a good thing I had that pulley, along with the puller I borrowed from you. Car was pinging like crazy on the local crap fuel when we did the dyno pull, it still managed 245.5 rwhp.

Only other problems were a rattling cat. converter heat shield, and a busted rear stab. bar link, which may have resulted from wheel hop I had on a few passes at the track.

Pic # 3 in the 4th row is me putting a holeshot on Micah Miller, with a .007 reaction time. ;) Pic # 2 in that same row is Dave and I running for the 3rd place spot, I messed up with a -.007 redlight on that run. Dave's car was quick enough to have me covered anyway, unless he happened to cut a bad light, or miss a shift.

cheers
Ed N.
