i waswondering when replacing the ballancer with a bhj and a ballanced crank pulley is that all you need or is there anything else that needs ballancing? ive heard stories of what happens when its not ballanced (crank faliure) i have a 90 sc and would like to replace it before it splits apart. any info on this would be help full

As long as you have a zero balanced crank pulley thats all you will need.

Also, while your down there. You may want to replace the crank shaft seal and sensor.

I use the one that SCP sold before people began to realize the need for a longer crank bolt. Its from a current mustang 3.8L I think. I run it and haven't had a single problem with it, but going with the longer crank bolt is not all to bad of an idea either.

Quick question to add. Another SCCoWC member (happily not me!) has broken 4 stock ballancers in one year. He's now going to get the BHJ one. My question is would his crank be buggered for him to break so many? I didn't talk to him directally so I don't have the all the details. Or could it somehow be a lousy install job, which was done by a shop I think?
