That's a common problem. Replacing the fender solenoid usually fixes the prob.

There are no factory installed viper alarm systems. The original Ford dealer may have had it installed by an alarm shop, but it certainly is not a factory option.

99% chance it's the Relay (solenoid) on the fender, behind the battery but it's real easy to know for sure. put a test light on the small terminal (not one of the big battery cable terminals) and have a buddy turn the key to the start position. Does it light up? If so, then you know the ignition switch and all the wiring is fine; it is doing what it's supposed to do, which is apply power to that solenoid, so the solenoid is bad. Should be $10 to $15 at any parts store. If you are NOT getting power to the small terminal on the solenoid, then you have a bad fusible link, ignition switch, or neutral safety switch. But you said the fuel pump and everything else works so I'm betting on the solenoid being the problem. You don't need an ignition wiring schematic, the starter has nothing to do with ignition, it just turns the motor over. If you don't have a test light you could probably just throw a new solenoid at it and fix it; however if you work on your own car you really need a test light anyway and it's better to test and diagnose than to just toss parts at it since you can't return them if they don't fix it.
