I've had my 89 cougar xr-7 for a while now. Been thru the headgasket ordeal and the balancer ordeal. Along with a camshaft sensor,crankshaft sensor,Idle air control and the tps. I love the car and it's now over 160,000 and the blower is gonna need rebuilt soon. These are some of the most comfortable cars to drive. I also have my 90 lx mustang that's getting a new 5.0 and a five speed among other things. I also have just recently sold my 79 fairmont futura that was a blow thru single turbo set up. Here's a video of the fairmont and at the end you can see my cougar.

can i ask how much you sold it for ?

It was time for something new for me. I basically parted it out and sold it all separately. I made a few bucks off the deal lol. Yea I've talked to mike over at toohighpsi a few times. It was a fun toy for a while. On drag radials and a mostly stock engine at 7 psi of boost the fairmont went 12.79 at 111 mph so it was fairly quick. I know I could have upped the boost some and added an intercooler and gone a bit faster.

yeah, homemade 351 turbos are the ~~~~. when i first saw his cars like the twin M90ed 351 i just went :eek:

damnit now i want a fairmont or a 77-79 Tbird,

a disco bird would be awesome to drop a 460 in, or a 351 T03 turbo setup because they already have a decent C6 and a 9" rear :)

Shaun, do you have any pictures of the engine in the fairmont? I think i have some pix of your car that I saved while browsing for fairmonts. From the vid it looked like a nice car man. Shame you had to sell it.
