Installed a new Ignition Switch, did I do it right?

I want to make sure I installed my new ignition switch correctly on my '92 SC.

All I did was with the keys out of the ignition is unscrew the 2 torx security screws and replaced with the new switch with the keys out of the ignition.

Is there anything else I should have done? I don't know why I thought I had to install the switch with the key in the run position.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Joseph

It really doesn't matter where the key is. As long as you line up the pin with the hole on the switch you'll be good to go. Get used to it. I've done 3 in 2 1/2 years!:p

Uhh... Pin in the whole?

I didn't think to look for a pin, and I doubt I'm that lucky that the pin just fell in the whole. I'm going to take it back off to make sure it's done right. Where is the pin that I should be looking for?
