View Full Version : How about a raffle for the meet? (8-24)

I've been talking with Paul (who sells ESM products) and he has come up with a pretty sweet idea. He is willing to offer up a quick-change SC pully for raffle.

The ticket price will be $15.00 w/some of the procedes going to the winning chapter's funds. (So, if a Nor-Cal person wins, then then a portion goes to the Nor-Cal club). Obviously this money can be used to buy stickers, T-shirts, or anything else that the chapter needs.

The winner will get this sweet quick-change pulley setup. (See pics). It's a pretty sweet set-up and lets you quickly change your SC pulley for days at the track, and then switch it back for daily driving, or for any other various reasons.

Paul will let you have a choice for the pulley that attaches to it (I.E. - 5%, stock, etc.)

We need a minimum of 15 people willing to participate in the raffle. Please post here if you are interested in the raffle.

btw---I'm in for 1 ticket.

I am trying to attend the meet (checking flight availabilty today) and will bring with me the one kit which will be a hub and pulley and 2 additional pulleys so the winner may choose from stock, 5% or 10%. I will also bring a pulley so we can install it on the winners car at the track. If I am unable to attend, Mandi (SoCal) will have the kit and present it at the meet to the winner. If you have any questions, please post them up and I will answer them as quickly as possible. If this is going to happen, I need to get things moving pretty quick so speak up now.

So far 2 people have committed to purchase a ticket each.

Were up to 7, practically half way there in less than a day!

That stopped dead in its tracks! Is 7 people the best we can do here in total? I think there are only 4 people from SoCal and 3 from NorCal? You mean to tell me no one else in the entire state is interested in an inexpensive opportunity to make their car go faster? Where else can you get in on a raffle with such good odds of winning? Im very disappointed. If we hit 10 people, Ill start the raffle and hope for the best, I need 15 to make it worth my time and I know there has to be more than 15 SC owners attending the race.

Most of the people who use to post on this board are basically gone. When the site had it's problems a lot of people fled! :-(

I'll put a link up in the non-tech board for people to see.

Okay,
I guess I can give up my milk shake money for an opportunity to win. At least the odds are a little betterthan the Lottery.

The raffle is now open, please refer to the following link and make your purchase ASAP. So far about 9 people have agreed to buy a ticket so lets see what happens. For those of you who have already agreed to purchase a ticket, please do so ASAP and not drag this along. For those who are up in the air about it, please do not wait till last minute or I may just cancel the raffle if there isnt enough interest. Here is a link to the thread with the purchase info:

Did I miss something here???? Last I checked there were 9 people who posted that they wanted to purchase a ticket for the raffle and so far no one has done so. I offered this raffle to help endorse your chapters and further your growth, however, if this is the type of response to be expected, please tell me now so I can concentrate my efforts elsewhere. I still have yet to purchase my plane tickets to attend the event and am reconsidering if there is much point in me flying out. If everyone is planning to buy a ticket at the track, thats fine, let me know, Ill change the raffle terms to ship the pulley to the winner save myself the cost of the plane ticket and a 6 hour flight and that will settle everything.

Wendy, you need to just log into your Paypal account, click send money, then put the email address I specified (Paypalorders@BlueTongueMotorsports.com) in the send to email box and the amount ($15 per ticket).

The following people agreed to purchase a ticket for the raffle previously:

TBK PAID
Al35thsc PAID
35thsc
Jim D.
Jacsxr7 PAID
Gone14s
SCyaltr
Hwycoper

If I dont have at least everyone listed paid (thats 8 people and I really need to sell 15 tickets for it to be worth my trouble) by the 21st I will be cancelling the raffle and refunding anyone who did pay their money..
