Hii,
I am newbie.... I just got 1992 Ford Thunderbird SC m5r2 5 speed. the tranission is pretty bad need rebuilt or get new one? How much for rebuilt and get parts to get stronger hold power in 5 speed? because they slip 1,2,3 pretty noise.

Also I plan to get best clutch and where Can I get one? Which one is best clutch stage 1,2,3, or 4 for my car?

Wonder do i need chip for that car so where pcm exactly at?
What size of rearend 8.8??

DO you think m5r2 is good, or should I get different tranny with t5 or something. I am gonna stay with 5 speed. So the engine is v6 3.8 supercharged all stock~

I'm pretty sure you can get the m5r2 rebuilt or try to find one in a junk yard that will work for ya. Also, when I was SC'ing, there was a kit that you could slap a T-5 tranny into the SC.

Clutches is going to be like asking someone their favorite food, everyone has the brand that they like.

m5r2 is plenty durable so you won't ever have to worry about breaking them. It is a 8.8 rearend.

Whether you need a chip or not depends on your mods.

You can get a rebuild kit for $500 from southern gear.
