Head studs

I am thinking of using studs instead of stock style bolts. Are there any clearance issues? Does the engine need to be pulled to get the heads on and off? I know in some engine\car combo's there is not enough room to pull the head off and clear the studs with the engine still in the car.

The main clearance issue is that the SC specific ARP kit requires that you trim the lower studs for exhaust manifold/header clearance. Their is a GM kit that works better. I don't have the numbers off hand but a search would serve you well. This topic has been documented thoroughly.
