So after having all sorts of troubles with my lower end (piston rings, bearing oil clearances, etc) the lower end is finally done! I managed to put the cam in the block, put the lifters, guides and plates in. I was going to put the heads in there but it got way too cold and my back was hurting so i decided to call it quits for the day. Ill get to the heads tomorrow, i already took them out to the shed including my purdy blue roller rockers:p . Progress is going slowly but surely, as you can see in the pix i have my notebook with the tear down notes to make sure i put everything back the way it came out. Shouldn't be long until i have the 89 back on its feet after a very long slumber! Just thougth i'd share the joy :D . GIT-R-DONE!!!

Nice, what kind of pistons are those and what compression ratio?

The pistons are stock replacement Sealed Power...they're just shiny :D . NOthing fancy except for having the Duro-SHield coating on the skirts and being 20 over.
