is it possible to put in a clutch cable operated t5 into a supercoupe?
CMac89 said:I don't see why not, but the cable might not be long enough or vice versa. The stock t5's are weak and you need a shifter extension that "Spinning Wheels SC" sells.
If you want a T5 that you aren't going to break, check out this one:CMac89 said:The stock t5's are weak.

If it can live behind a 600 hp drag motor, it will live in any SC!!!!!
Is there a particular reason you want to use a cable clutch with the T5? There are a couple of hydraulic throw out bearing kits for the T-5. McLeod makes one, & so does JMC Motorsport. Both are avail. from Mustangsplus.com. The mustangsplus p/n for the McLeod is #8287.

The Mustangsplus p/n's for the JMC Motorsport conversion are: #7579, #10990, #7581, #7582, & #8665. Different p/n's are for different T5's.

i have a T5 from g-force, they don't offer a warrantee...Blown 91 Bird said:wouldnt put a g-force t5 in my car if they gave it to me for free. One reason being they use stock cases... and they have very bad service. Many have had problems with them warrantying trannys...
I prefer to have a cable clutch setup in the car because i simply dont like hydraulic setups. I like having the ability to use an adjustable qaudrent/firewall adjuster for how i want the pedal. I supose ill just need to find out if i can get a cable long enough
