Greetings Im debating on getting a sc. I currently have a 91 5.0 gt with all the bolt ons. I realy want something less boy racer but still able to kick ~~~ and from what I can tell the sc's just might fit the bill. My concern is the cost to maintain and modify a sc. How does it comepair to a 5.0. Im looking for the best bag for the buck.

Best bang for the buck, stick with the 91 5.0 GT! The cost to maintain, let alone modify, a Super Coupe will be more expensive than the 5.0. But is you can afford to be a little different and don't mind a few headaches along the way, then get a SC.

Depends if you do most of your own work or not. If you make your own exhaust system, intake, port your own blower, do most of your own head work, etc... it isn't too bad.
If you don't do your own work and buy everything ready to bolt on then you'll be shoulder deep in pockets.:)

Even if you pay for all the stuff, pay for installation, it still worth it! In my book at least:D

Don't get me wrong guys, I love my SC and have done almost all of the work myself. But if I did the same amount of work to a 5.0, with the same amount of money, the 5.0 GT would be faster without a doubt. Now would I trade my SC experience for that of a 5.0 GT, NO WAY IN H#LL.

When i first picked up my t-bird i was originally lookin for a 5.0 stang also. but ran across this decent speed to begin with and decent aftermarket. i never once regret gettin the SC.
