dead spot

I seems to have a dead spot under light acceleration. I have replaced the iac, plugs and wires, air filter, fuel filter, clean thottle body, checked vaccum leaks, and cleaned mas. Could it be a bad tps?
Thanks,
Scott

You can check the TPS fairly easily. All you need is a voltmeter. You have to back probe two of the leads coming off of it. I cannot remember what the closed and WOT readings should be, but they should be on this site somewhere. You also want to slowly sweep the throttle through it's full travel and check for spikes or irregularities throughout the sweep. If it is working properly the voltage should smoothly increase/decrease throughout opening and closing.

voltage should range from idle .5-1.0 volt and WOT at 4.6-5.0 volts look for a drop or sustained voltage very near idle for your problem.
