Hey guys, I have the higer lift cam, .531/.539, and slightly beefed up comp cam 986 springs.

986 Double
OD- 1.400
ID- .697
Seat Load- 132@ 1.750
Open Load- 280@ 1.250
Coil Bind- 1.150
Rate (lb/in)- 296

My machinist semed to think I should get some better ones, and said he could recommend me a set when I get the size figured out.

So what quality of pushrods are a decent upgrade, or are OE pushrods really OK to run?

Thanks guys!

at 280lbs. you should'nt require better pushrods. crossing 300lbs. @ around 7,200-7,500 may ask for a little more but even then with what these cars came stock you would probably be alright.

I'm using the TrickFlow chromemoly 7.250" pushrods. You can buy them at Summit for $85, but comes in a pack of 16. The chromemoly pushrods are about the strongest affordable pushrod you can buy.
