I would like to know, how much of an off-set is allowable, when looking for wheels. I know the off-set is 35 mm, but is there any room to move? Also, has anyone put 20's on their car?

My car is finally going in for some much needed body work. I just ordered replacement rocker panels, window mouldings and front lenses. My painter will be back from his relaxing vacation next week. Perfect timing, he will be in good spirits when he returns. I can't wait.

Offset is dependent on wheel width, Steve. A narrower wheel will use a higher offset number to centre it in the fender compared to a wider one. +35 is a good fit on 8 - 9" wide wheels on our cars. Any less, you risk getting tire rub on the fender lips, but tire size and ride height come in to play there. More offset, and you can rub the inner fender or suspension parts. Usually + or - about 5 mm is safe.

There are a few MN-12 cars around on 20" wheels. 245-35-20 or 255-35-20 are fairly common tire sizes that will work on our cars.
