Competition Ltd. Relay and socket sourcing

Has anyone sourced the relays and sockets used in the Competition Ltd. Headlight harnesses for our SC's? If so can you share the info?

When I had my accident on Monday the battery shifted and broke the Low Beam Relay. I need to replace at least that to get my low beams back.

Duffy - I've seen those little black 1" cube shaped 12V-30A relays in an electrical catalog. I think they are made by Bosch. I'll look them up tonight - I have a bunch of catalogs in the garage. I mounted mine together on the angle bracket they supply; on the left hand bolt that holds the bellows to the top of the intercooler.
Jim.

Duffy - I just called my Son and he said "Parts Express". So if you go on their web site 'www.partsexpress.com' - select "Car Audio" - bottom right column "relays" and there they are. I believe if you order by 4pm they will ship the same day. Otherwise you could try Radio Shack.

Any place that installs alarms will have what you need in stock. Seems every alarm needs atleast 3 realys now.

Parts Express is the cheapest place I could find Bosch brand relays. Price mattered to me, I had to buy 16 of them when I installed Lincoln Mark VIII seats in my SC.

I have purchased a few other items from them since. They always ship fast and prices are awesome.

Well....after almost killing myself driving home last night in a snow squal given I had to drive on the PA Turnpike with foglamps and hazard flashers only so I could actually see where I was driving I took Kurt K's advice from the Members forum and swapped the good High Beam Relay for the busted low beam one. The relays I have are NOT Bosch style though as the pin configurration is different. The ones I have are 4 pins with the pins in 2 rows horizontal orientation. Now there is no doubt I can solder in new sockets and use a Bosch relay if I have to, I would prefer to use a replacement relay that fits rather than getting into that in the cold weather we have right now. But the bright side (sorry for the pun) is I DO have low beams again.

What I got off the relay (I broke the case even more getting it out of the socket) is as follows.

12V 30A

From your numbers this site has that or a similar relay: (From Part MB-141967)

Looks like they are importers and the relay might be a Mitsubishi unit.

This site has it as well:

Listed as an AC relay here:

The MB-141967 number shows up here in plastic:

Maybe a parts store like Napa could cross reference that relay. I think I'll solder in Bosch relays the next time I have my car down for work! LOL

Thanks for the responses. Pep Boys had them. CyberWhite Relay (actually made by Pilot) PN is NV-RY1. A tad pricey though....$5.00 each.

It's winter right now, shouldn't your car be down for work (upgrades) by default?
