i have a 90 sc 5 speed the motor is bad should i replace it or drop a 5.0 in it
if i drop a 5.0 in it can i use the stock flywheel and cluch and trans and what
computer should i use to run it

It will be much easier to fix or replace the 3.8. To convert to a 5.0 you will need a donor T-Bird of the same year or very close to it, to get the motor, accesories, flex plate, wiring harness, radiator, fan, motor mounts, computer, tach, ignition module ect..ect...

To make matters worse, when your all done it will be slower than the SC motor was. Don't do the 5.0 swap unless you going to use a power adder.

I agree, If you swap in a 5.0, your only in for alot of grief and possibly disapointment. My motor died and I deeply considered a 32v 4.6 from a mark 8 only until I found out how much work it would be.

i am intrested in drag racing the car ran a 14.0 before the motor blew so i am looking to put the car in the 12's so i thought maybe a 5.0 would be a good choice what do you think i should do? the 3.8 will require alot of work and cost alot more where 5.0 parts have alot of after market support
