any header experts in here????

i am lookin to put a new exhaust on my 93lx 5.0, and my question is what headers shouls i go with and will mustang headers fit?? any imput would be greatly appreaciated.

I used MAC equal length shorties, but had to modify the steering shaft to do so.

how much work r we talkin here cause mustang headers cost125.thunderbird go from 450-600that ive found so far. i dont know,after you installled your was it a night and day defference in the overall sound???

You have to use mn12-specific headers. THe mustang ones wont fit.........with out modification to the shaft that is. Once you modify the steering shaft you can use (i think) all mustang headers. There's a member of tccoa who also frequents this site who has an outstanding write up on modifying the steering shaft to use mustang headers. I forget his user name thou...but search the tccoa, there's tons of info there about that.

Actually, 'The Man' on the TCCoA board, suggests JBA shorties.
No mods to the steering column, and easy to install/re-install,
according to Lonnie Doll......
The Macs flex worse and worse with more and more heat cycles and refuse to bolt back up......
I have a 91 5.0........
Do a search there and look for 'Lonnie'. He's the man when it comes to any LX.
