If they are good quality wires you should be fine for a while; that's about 28,000 miles on them. I changed the ORIGINAL wires on my 90 SC at 108,000 miles (I would have changed them WAY before that but I had just bought the car at 106,000 miles).
just re-read your post....... only the PLUGS were changed, not wires? If they are original wires they will have the year marked on each wire.... Sounds like it may be time to change them. If the plugs were replaced with double platinums (as they should have been) they are ok for another 40k miles or so, but if they were just copper plugs or regular platinums then I'd change the plugs too.
There is a miss at wot with my 89 5-speed.....
Hmmmmmmmmmmm....................................
The spark plug wires (all 6) have 1989 stamped on them!
The motor has about 200K miles on it...
Think they need to be replaced?
Gonna get double platinum plugs too.....
