How long is it safe to drive with my IAC disconnected?

Why did you disconnect it?

Pretty sure it's bad. Car won't run when it's connected. I just need to get it home until I get a new one.

Are you able to take it off and clean it? Or try tapping on it to get it unstuck......lightly.

I thought cleaning them made it worse. I tapped lightly and it didn't seem to help.

I drove with mine disconnected for at least a week, it did not hurt anything. I thought mine was bad, because when it was plugged in it would idle real high, and with it unplugged it would idle normal. I also thought it was my IAC so I bought a new one, but it did not change anything.

Since yours wont run at all it sure sounds like thats the culprit.
