Unhooked dash plug?

Hopefully someone here knows what I'm talking about. On my 92, I've got a 3-pin plug under the driver side of my dash just hanging there, doesn't go to anything. If memory serves me right, the wires are: black, green, purple/red. I'll have to double check though (I'm in class right now). It's just confused me since I got it as to what it goes to...I don't see anything that it could go to...? Someone help! Thanks.
 
get a camera and take a picture. it would bring a correct answer much faster. Theres lots and lots of plugs back there.

I'll try tomorrow to get a decent picture...can't see that doing too much. That's why I gave the color of the wires...hoping someone might have a manual with some diagrams.
 
Well since I've always hated writing long essays, here's the best pic I can get of it. You can see where it goes. The wire colors are as I thought: black, green, and purple/red.

It plugs into the shift lock actuator. I'm not sure, but I think it's only for automatics.
